Position Overview
The Area Executive Director (AED) is responsible for the administrative, operational, and leadership oversight of a primary location while overseeing the operations of up to 4 locations. The AED ensures consistent compliance with all Federal and State regulations governing Home Health Care Agencies, adherence to organizational policies and procedures, and the achievement of financial and operational goals across all branches. The AED provides strategic leadership and support to an aligned branch and additional assigned branch Executive Directors, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration. This role reports to the Area Vice President and acts as a key liaison between branches and operational leadership.

Essential Job Functions
The Area Executive Director is responsible for directly managing all essential operational and administrative functions of their assigned branch, while providing strategic oversight, guidance, and support to other branches within their assigned branch leadership teams.

Team Management & Leadership
Acts as ED for 1 location and directly manages the leadership teams of up to 4 locations to ensure operational excellence and consistent application of company policies.
Monitor employee performance, ensuring annual evaluations are completed and goals are established and tracked for all staff.
Ensures recruitment, hiring, and development of leadership talent, emphasizing top-quality candidates, performance management and succession planning to ensure proper staffing levels within assigned locations. 
Serve as a mentor for up to 3 Executive Directors. 
Conduct regular meetings with branch leaders; participate in regional and organizational leadership meetings as required.

Client Relations & Quality of Care
Ensures ongoing planning meetings for patient admissions and continuity of care are held.
Monitor and review client satisfaction survey results across branches, developing and implementing improvement plans as needed.
Ensure incident management and resolution processes are executed consistently and efficiently at all branches.

Business Operations & Financial Oversight
Lead the development and implementation of area-level growth strategies that align with goals and market opportunities.
Is proficient in the day to day branch management including comprehensive review of financial statements, business planning, P&L responsibilities, productivity reports/staffing, operational metrics for each branch and identifying areas for cost reduction and program improvement.
Ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met across branches.
Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations across all branches, in partnership with branch leadership.
Collaborate with Sales leadership to execute growth plans for assigned territory to exceed admission targets.
Monitor hiring and staffing processes to ensure branch staffing meets operational needs and client volume.
Provide guidance and oversight into internal billing, collections, and revenue cycle processes to ensure clean claims and financial efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of operational leadership experience in Home Health, Hospice, or related healthcare settings.
Strong understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements for home health agencies.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop branch leadership teams.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Licensed clinical experience preferred.
Travel required up to 100%.

Requirements
• High School Diploma
• Criminal Background check completed and results within parameters of Aveanna policy.
•​ Valid Driver’s License and Acceptable MVR

Preferences

• 2-3 Years Management Experience Preferred
• Healthcare experience a plus
• Home Health Nursing experience preferred
