Inclement weather may impact many of our patients and team members in the South. Read more here: https://pulse.ly/humrybguyw
We encourage everyone in affected areas to remain vigilant and be prepared for the effects of these storms including possible power outages and road closures.
We want to make sure our Aveanna community is prepared. Patients and their families should follow these tips provided by the Oley Foundation:
• Ensure that you have sufficient backup power available or batteries to power any necessary pumps or medical devices, as well as battery-powered radios and appropriately charged cell phones to receive the latest communications.
• Listen to appropriate warnings from governmental officials advising of precautions and evacuations.
• Check with home care suppliers and medical providers NOW to ensure that you have enough medications and nutritional supplies (formula, HPN, etc.) to last at least 48–72 hours, in case of supply chain delays.
• Write down important telephone numbers in case you cannot access the directory on your mobile phone. This includes, but is not limited to, your home care company branch, regional and national offices.
*If you are evacuated or relocated due to a weather emergency, notify your home care company/DME. If your branch is forced to close, others may need to support your needs. In an emergency, connect with company headquarters or regional offices for further instructions.
Be prepared and stay safe!
