Current Opportunities: The Financial Analyst will perform and provide detailed financial analyses to leaders at all levels of the organization, empowering them to make data driven decisions. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will take part in regular recurring tasks, such as month end close, as well as provide ad hoc support to various corporate and operating partners as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and Maintain regular reporting documents utilized by all levels of the organization.
  • Play a key role in operational and financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist with the production of Aveanna’s annual budget and forecasts.
  • Work alongside counterparts in Accounting and Finance during Month, Quarter, and Yearend Financial Close procedures
  • Perform Analyses as needed for proposed business initiatives and contract negotiations
  • Attend meetings to further knowledge of current events throughout the organization and communicate findings to senior leadership
  • Assist with implementation of Business Intelligence programs
  • Regularly present independent findings to Senior and Executive level leadership
  • Track and quantify rate changes made in the payor environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field
  • 2 years of experience in an Analyst role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment and collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with ERP and BI systems preferred but not required (Workday, Adaptive Insights, Tableau)

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Working knowledge of financial concepts, practices and procedures; i.e. IRR, NPV, DCF, payback, etc.
  • Aptitude towards critical thinking; shows eagerness to find answers to problems that aren’t always clear cut or available
  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate well with other internal and external partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 25 pounds
  • Prolonged walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
  • Must be able to sit and climb stairs
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity
  • Must have strong sense of smell and touch

 

Environment

  • Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
