Position Overview: Executive Director

Join us in making a profound impact in the lives of our clients as the Executive Director at our vibrant Aveanna branch in Fairfax, VA! This role is not just about management—it's about inspiring a dedicated team and leading the charge in providing exceptional home health care. You'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations, and embodying Aveanna's mission and values every day. Reporting directly to the Governing Body and collaborating closely with the Area Vice President, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our branch and the community we serve.

Schedule: In-Office Role, Monday – Friday
Location: Fairfax, VA 22030
Compensation: Starting at $80,000 annually


Essential Job Functions

Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a talented team through annual evaluations, goal-setting, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Identify and recruit top-tier talent that aligns with our mission, fostering an environment of excellence.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning through orientation, in-service education, and professional development.
  • Supervise staff during service hours to ensure our clients receive the highest quality care.
  • Engage with supervisors and participate in regional meetings to drive collaboration and innovation.

Client Relations:

  • Partner with the Nursing Director to welcome new client families with compassion and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in weekly meetings to ensure seamless onboarding for new patients.
  • Monitor client satisfaction through surveys and make data-driven improvements to enhance our services.
  • Resolve any incidents or issues with a focus on maintaining trust and satisfaction.

Business Operations:

  • Strategically plan and implement growth initiatives that elevate our branch’s impact in the community.
  • Analyze financial statements and performance data to optimize productivity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all regulations, ensuring our operations run smoothly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Client Relations team to strengthen our connections with referral sources and expand our reach.
  • Oversee internal billing processes to ensure timely and accurate claims management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check per Aveanna policy.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Preferences

  • College Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of management experience, ideally in healthcare.
  • Experience in pediatric care is a plus!

Physical Requirements

  • Strong communication skills in English (speak, write, read, and understand).
  • Ability to travel; personal transportation required.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort with prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
  • Strong visual, auditory, and sensory acuity.

  • Ability to thrive in diverse environments with potential exposure to allergens and other conditions.
