Position Overview
Aveanna Healthcare is hiring safe, responsible drivers with a passion for working with children to provide non-emergent transportation for our pediatric patients to and from the Pediatric Day Healthcare Center (PPEC) in Tallahassee, FL (3492 Martin Hurst Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312). This part-time role involves split shifts, ensuring safe and timely transport of children, and working closely with our transport nurse.
Schedule
This position offers split shifts from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No nights, weekends, or major holidays.
Essential Job Functions
- Safely pick up and drop off children at their homes or designated locations, including field trips.
- Assist nursing staff with the loading and unloading of children and any necessary equipment.
- Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, keeping it operational and fueled daily.
- Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the vehicle, including child safety seats.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must hold a current Florida Driver's License.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
