Position Overview
The Corporate Payroll Administrator supports a payroll team processing payroll for an employee base of more than 30,000 employees using Workday and ADP.  The Payroll Administrator performs various payroll duties including processing garnishments, auditing of daily tax amounts, overseeing the overpayment process, and managing uncashed checks, while also serving as a backup for lower-level payroll specialist tasks when needed.  This position will also serve as the primary administrator of customer service tickets in JIRA.

Essential Job Functions

Payroll Processing:
Supports tasks related to the processing of an accurate and timely payroll for employees.
Handles adjustments, bonuses, and special payments with accuracy.
Garnishment Administration:
Manages and processes employee garnishments in strict adherence to state and federal regulations.
Collaborates with external agencies to resolve garnishment-related inquiries promptly.
Opens mail, scans garnishments to ADP, fills out requests.
Tax Assistance:
Provides essential support with junior-level tax activities, assisting the Senior Tax Analyst as necessary.
Assists in the preparation and filing of payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Completes daily tax audit and responds to Tier One tax inquiries.
Handling Overpayments:
Addresses and resolves overpayment situations in compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local law.
Collaborates with affected employees and internal stakeholders to rectify overpayment issues.
Uncashed Check Processing:
Monitors and addresses uncashed payroll checks.
Coordinates with employees to reissue checks and ensures accurate financial transactions.
Team Collaboration:
Works closely with the payroll team to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Collaborates with Payroll, Compensation, HRIS, People Services, Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other departments to maintain accurate employee data.
Recordkeeping:
Maintains meticulous and organized payroll records.
Generates reports for management as required.
Customer Service:
Oversees triage responsibilities for all payroll tickets.
Responds to Tier One inquiries accurately and promptly.
Compliance:
Stays abreast of changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and other compliance matters.
Implements updates to ensure continued compliance with all applicable laws.
On-site Requirement:
Attends to mail and other critical tasks in the office in Atlanta, GA, at least once each week.

Requirements
High School Diploma or associate degree or equivalent level of experience; additional education in finance or accounting is a plus.
0-6 months of Payroll experience
Basic understanding of tax principles and regulations.
Familiarity with garnishment processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and other relevant software.
Experience with Workday, ADP or other payroll software strongly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to address payroll-related inquiries and provide support.

Remote hybrid environment; requires the ability to work independently in a remote setting with in-office work at least once/week.  Open to full-time in office work.
