Position Details
Position Overview
The Operations Manager is a management oriented individual who is responsible for the internal operations of the office. Responsible for maintaining appropriate billing/payroll processes and management of Operations Specialist and Operations Clerks.
Essential Job Functions
- Conducting all field employee payrolls via Aveanna policies and procedures.
- Conducting all billing via Aveanna policies and procedures.
- Conducting/managing monthly insurance verifications for all active clients receiving therapy or private duty nursing.
- Requests Private Insurance Authorizations when applicable
Verifies payer information and benefit plans for new clients and communicates information to location management
- Manages Pending Report to keep total in line with Regional expectations
- Uses Accounts Receivable report to identify patients where we have collections issues and develop plan for correction
- Conducting/managing monthly authorization verifications for all active clients receiving therapy and private duty nursing.
- Management of Operations Specialist that includes, but is not limited to:
- Maintaining updated and accurate therapist/nurse credentials according to Aveanna policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all new hires are working through Aveanna standard hiring process.
- Ensuring that all therapy/nursing documentation is verified accurately through Aveanna’s billing and payroll process
- Sets expectations, provides feedback, and manages performance on a routine basis
- Maintaining/managing all client ‘plans’ to ensure the most accurate information is reflected when the billing process in conducted
- Assists in investigation of clients problems and promptly seeks solutions.
- Performs all duties in an independent manner with little need for direct supervision.
- Always maintains and respects patient and employee confidentiality following HIPPA guidelines.
- Consistently demonstrates a self-directed, disciplined, approach in completing work assignments.
- Enters geographic location, directions, and overview of client profile.
- Demonstrates positive interaction, personable approach to convey their priority, instill confidence and loyalty.
- Response to management direction using appropriate methods and channels of communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of management experience
Preferences
- College degree preferred
- Prior billing experience preferred
- Healthcare experience a plus

Physical Demands

Environment
- Performs duties in an office environment with occasional field visits during agency operating hours
