Position Overview
The Workday Product Lead drives the optimization and continuous improvement of Workday’s Core HCM processes and Onboarding solutions. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert on Workday functionality, working closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance system capabilities, improve user experience, and ensure efficient system upgrades.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions
Core HCM Processes:
- Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Core HCM modules (including HR management, employee data, onboarding)
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday with other business systems and applications.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline HCM workflows.
- Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and industry best practices across all Core HCM processes.
Workday Release Management:
- Stay up to date with the latest Workday functionality, updates, and industry trends to ensure the organization maximizes the potential of Workday’s releases.
- Work with cross-functional teams to prepare for upcoming releases, including providing guidance on new features, conducting user training, and supporting troubleshooting.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Training:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workday-related queries and initiatives, providing guidance on best practices and system capabilities.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business units to align Workday functionality with strategic business goals and ensure efficient system adoption.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation for HR users, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of Workday.
Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly assess and refine existing workflows and processes within the Core HCM and Onboarding areas to drive improvements in efficiency and employee experience.
- Act as a change agent by advocating system enhancements, user experience improvements, and innovative use of Workday’s capabilities.
Governance & Support:
- Monitor and manage the governance of Workday processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance across the HCM landscape.
- Provide support for Workday system issues, troubleshooting, and provide recommendations for improvements and fixes.

Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred Education: Workday Certification
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience with Workday Core HCM configuration
- Preferred Experience: Experience in Healthcare preferred
Special Skills: - Proven experience in managing and leading Workday configuration, optimization, and upgrades.
- Familiarity with Workday’s release management process and a demonstrated ability to lead and support system upgrades.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
