Position Overview
The Incentives Analyst will be responsible for calculating and supporting Aveanna’s employee bonus and commission programs, ensuring that all incentive payouts are accurate, timely, and aligned with established performance metrics and compensation policies. This role will involve complex financial calculations and analysis to validate that incentive plans are applied fairly, accurately, and consistently across the organization. This position will report to the Finance department but will work closely with the Compensation team to ensure alignment between financial processes and compensation strategies.
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Design, build, and maintain Excel models to calculate complex employee bonuses, commissions, and incentive payouts
- Analyze performance data and apply business rules to ensure accurate compensation calculations
- Collaborate with HR, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to gather inputs, validate metrics, and implement compensation plans
- Audit, reconcile, and troubleshoot discrepancies in bonus and commission data
- Provide accounting and finance with accurate and up to date accruals of future incentive payouts for purposes of journal entry creation and forecasting
- Support annual compensation planning cycles, including merit, bonus, and incentive processes
- Maintain documentation for audit readiness and compliance
- Conduct ROI analysis to assess the value and efficiency of bonus and commission programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compensation or financial analysis, financial modeling, or bonus/commissions processing
- Advanced Excel skills required, including:
- LOOKUP functions, nested formulas, error-checking
- PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot
- Data validation, error-checking, conditional logic
- VBA/macros (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-growth or sales-driven organization
- Familiarity with Workday HRIS is advantageous
- Experience with other data tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
