Position Overview
The AVP of Clinical Innovation supports due diligence through development of novel evidence-aligned, industry-leading clinical care models, data analysis and representation to fuel strategic clinical and business goals in the areas of outcomes, growth, quality, and industry-leading care in the home. Works collaboratively with regional/area/local operational, corporate and clinical teammates to fortify clinical integrity and fuel growth while also interacting with I.T. and business systems to monitor and advance clinical performance and value. By example, promotes quality standards and evidence-aligned behaviors that inspire transformative approaches to seamless, sophisticated care. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to conduct industry leading clinical and financial outcome analyses/studies that result in manuscript submissions and industry-leading, professional presentations.

Essential Functions

- Consistently function as a team player and frame-breaking thought-partner within Aveanna’s Clinical Innovation team structure.
- Demonstrate evidence-informed understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, patient / caregiver experience, lifestyle / health behavior theory, condition management and fee for service / managed care / perceived value spectrum. Collaboratively translate applicable constructs to design/develop actionable, realistic care-models that traverse the lifespan of patients and their respective care partners.
- Partner within Aveanna’s Clinical Innovation team and across pertinent departments for applicable internal / external data collection, organization, report validity, progressive statistical analysis and representation/communication of clinical outcomes/care value.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with Clinical Innovation’s team members to promote understanding, representation, and on-going mentoring of evidence-aligned, transformative approaches to clinical assessment, intervention/care delivery, care coordination, clinical documentation, patient experience, clinical/financial outcomes and value.
- Meaningfully inform and document the employed methodologies of Clinical Innovation’s transformative strategies, shape content development/representation through all stages including - but not limited to - due diligence through analysis to outcomes representation/messaging. Facilitate and participate in tactical execution of designated initiatives.
- Proactively contribute to development of multifaceted, evidence-aligned, clinical assessment/intervention instruments/tools that seamlessly account for clinical-operational facets, ensure consistent regulatory/policy adherence, result industry-leading outcomes, and fuel growth.
- Effectively and efficiently collaborate with field clinicians/clinical-operational leadership, clinical education, calibrating evidence-aligned content design/creation/refinement accordingly to support key initiatives and growth.
- Interface across departments such as Clinical Operations, IT Systems, Marketing, Sales, Payor Relations, Government Affairs and other related partners to support innovation and outcomes-related efforts, including data depiction/representation.
- Contribute to progressive processes associated with messaging of transformative clinical offerings and routinely refine content to ensure clinical/outcome consistency across platforms.
- Provide evidence-aligned input toward strategic planning and goals that are in alignment with Aveanna’s continuous quality and overall strategic initiatives.
- Cheerfully adhere to and participate in Aveanna’s mandatory HIPAA privacy program / practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs / practices.
- Review and adhere to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.
- Participate in special projects and perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Professional, clinical license with advanced graduate research degree preferred in Business and/or real-world-clinical and financial outcomes research/representation
- A minimum of ten years clinical experience including at least two years clinical program design/implementation
- At least two years of demonstrated experience at a leadership level within a healthcare multi-site organization and/or healthcare payor organization
- A team player with working knowledge of translational and applied clinical science, clinical care model/program development, and data analysis/outcomes reporting methodology
- Ability to successfully partner with internal and external stakeholders, including – but not limited to - clinical-operations, clinical education, compliance/regulatory, marketing/sales, government affairs, payor relations, revenue cycle management, I.T./business systems, business intelligence, external university and payor partners to optimize clinical excellence and demonstrate care value while contributing to business growth
- Ability to work with cohesive teams and cross functional relationships from field clinicians to operations to corporate support
- Excellent and respectful oral and written communication skills, including group facilitation skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
