Position Details

The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Total Rewards department, which includes assisting with the company’s Health, Welfare, Absence, Retirement, Compensation and other benefit plans.  This role works closely with all departments to help respond to employee inquiries, administrative tasks, and support internal processing and reporting.

This role is temporary, for approximately 3 months. This is a hybrid role, with in office presence required Tuesday and Wednesday of each week. 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to all employee benefit plans including Tier 1 and 2 tickets through the internal JIRA ticketing system. 
  • Process agency requested medical support notices, verifications of employment and Medicare requests for employment information. 
  • Assist in the annual Open Enrollment process, including reviewing communications, testing web platforms, and supporting data analysis and reporting.   
  • Manage incoming employee benefits related mail and returned communications, including coordination with offsite storage.   
  • Assist in distribution of employee communications.   
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements / Education / Experience 

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data – including intermediate Excel skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time. 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively in a fast-paced environment independently and with a team. 
  • Knowledge of Workday a plus.
