Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Senior Vice President, People Services is a hands-on executive leader responsible for the strategy, execution, governance, and operational excellence of human resources (“HR”) functions across the Company. This role oversees a team of HR professionals and ensures that Aveanna’s HR infrastructure, policies, systems, and processes operate with the highest levels of compliance, efficiency, accountability, and business alignment.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
HR Operations, Technology & Data Analytics
- Lead and innovate HR Operations, ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant.
- Oversee HRIS strategy and governance, ensuring data integrity, process optimization, and cross-functional alignment.
- Build and expand People Analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, standardized dashboards, and business-driven insights.
HR Compliance Governance
- Oversee and manage Aveanna’s HR policy framework, including creation, revision, approval, and publication of all People Services policies and employee handbook materials, ensuring policies are updated based on legislative changes, operational needs, and best practices.
- Lead governance for employee records and secure documentation standards across all systems.
- Oversee HR-related audits (internal and external) and lead corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor new legislative developments, create compliance strategies, and effectively communicate requirements.
Total Rewards: Compensation & Benefits
Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Enterprise HR Leadership & Strategy
- Provide executive oversight for HR functions, ensuring seamless and unified HR operations across all lines of business.
- Translate strategic initiatives into integrated HR operational objectives that strengthen culture, optimize workforce performance, and support business growth.
Employee Relations
- Provide executive oversight for employee relations matters and investigations.
- Oversee employee relations by monitoring patterns and creating solutions for emerging concerns.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
Guide corporate recruiting, workforce planning, and contingent worker initiatives.
Department Leadership
Provide oversight of both direct and indirect reports to ensure effective performance, foster employee development, and maintain alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
Mergers & Acquisitions Leadership & Integration
- Partner with the Integration Management Office and lead HR due diligence and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring seamless transition of employees, policies, and benefits.
- Oversee the alignment of organizational culture, compensation structures, and HR systems during M&A activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess workforce impact, develop communication strategies, and manage change initiatives throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Financial Acumen: Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and numerical operations.
Strategic Negotiation & Relationship Building: Proven ability to negotiate and maintain strong partnerships.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong aptitude for interpreting data and making informed decisions under tight timelines.
Communication and Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal abilities in interactions with both internal leadership and external partners.
Organizational Skills: Demonstrated capability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and optimize time utilization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 12+ years of progressive HR/People Ops leadership experience with 8–10+ years in progressively senior People Ops/HR leadership roles across HR operations, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Compliance, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with HRIS/HCM systems (Workday, Lawson, ADP, Peoplesoft).
- High degree of proficiency with all Microsoft O365 products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven success building HR infrastructure, leading change, and supporting acquisitions.
- Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law.
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, high-growth, and imperfect environments with sound judgment and pragmatism.
Preferences:
- Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate.
- HR certifications such as SPHR, SHRM‑SCP, or PHR.
- Experience in Healthcare industry.
Environment This role is based in Atlanta, uses a hybrid work arrangement with regular office hours, and may occasionally require travel.
