As a Respiratory Therapist at Aveanna, you’ll play a vital role in our Respiratory Care Department, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the home setting. You’ll serve as both a clinical expert and a trusted partner to patients and their families—assessing needs, providing education, and supporting long-term respiratory health with compassion and professionalism.

This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of launching and growing a new program in Austin, TX. A Day in the Life:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment and management of home respiratory patients
    • Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory equipment and treatment plans
    • Manage and support respiratory therapies such as oxygen, PAP devices, nebulizers, inhalers, and mechanical ventilation
    • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with the care team
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and services
    • Review and follow physician orders to ensure proper treatment and device settings
    • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, company, and accrediting agency standards
    • Respond to patient and customer service concerns with professionalism and empathy
    • Collaborate with internal teams to support patient onboarding and ongoing care

Position Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of in-home DME experience (preferred)
• RRT credential (preferred)
