As a Medical Director for Respiratory Services here at Aveanna, you’ll be responsible for providing clinical leadership, oversight, and medical expertise to our Respiratory Manager to ensure safe, effective, and compliant care across all respiratory-related programs.
We are a leading provider of enteral and respiratory care in the home, committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered services. We require a physician licensed in the state of Texas to serve as our Medical Director. In this role, you would be responsible for upholding all applicable state and federal regulations while ensuring that all services align with internal standards of excellence, evidence-based clinical best practices, and accreditation requirements.

A Day in the Life:
- Provide consultative support to the Respiratory Manager on policy and procedure review, ensuring alignment with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a clinical resource and advisor to leadership on respiratory care practices and program oversight
- Assist with performance improvement initiatives related to respiratory services and quality outcomes
- Participate in periodic reviews and provide recommendations to support departmental compliance and quality improvement efforts.
Position Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree
- Active and unrestricted medical license in relevant state (Texas)
- Prior leadership or medical director experience (Strongly preferred)
- Board Certification in Pulmonology, Critical care, or related specialty (Preferred)
- 5+ Years of clinical experience in respiratory care, including home ventilation, DME programs, or related services (Preferred)
