Position Overview

The Manager of Incident Response will assist with the coordination of defensive security projects and assist with team leadership and mentoring.  This position will help refine and grow our incident response capabilities directly and through assisting and guiding other team members.  Designing/implementing procedures and processes for the security team to follow.  This role reports directly to the Director of Security.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and maintain incident response processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for junior employees
  • Evaluate security requests for risks and provide approval when needed.
  • Play a lead role in incident response, forensic procedures, and purple team operations
  • Coordinate with other teams throughout the business to represent security, provide security assistance where necessary, and pursue security projects
  • Work with vendors and other third parties to support security initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must have 7 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security
  • Strong background in risk evaluation and management
  • Strong background in security engineering
  • Experience in Incident Response processes and planning
  • Experience in coordinating with vendors and other external parties
  • Must have or be working towards a management focused industry certification
  • Experience writing reports for incident response
  • 3 years of experience in creating company-wide communications and leadership specific communications
  • Must have experience in the following tools:IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, EDR, AV, Web Proxies, Email Gateways, and Malware Sandbox environments
