JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Operations and Process Optimization is responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational excellence through the strategic design, integration, and optimization of clinical systems, workflows, and technologies. This role leads initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across Aveanna service lines. The VP will serve as a critical link between clinical operations, technology, and business functions to ensure streamlined processes and high-performing systems that support exceptional patient care and organizational performance.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategy and execution of operational improvements and process optimization across clinical systems, EMR platforms, and business applications.
- Align operations with clinical, financial, and regulatory objectives to enhance overall system performance.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), clinical documentation workflows, and system-supported processes.
- Partner with IT and clinical leaders to ensure EMR and application functionality supports regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and business growth.
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure systems and workflows are fully integrated and support billing accuracy, payroll precision, and outcome measurement.
- Support regional and field leaders in defining and aligning operational practices with system capabilities.
- Support acquisition activity through active involvement in due diligence, operational assessments, and seamless post-close integration planning and execution.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data to inform decisions and prioritize initiatives.
- Lead initiatives that leverage automation and clinical informatics to reduce administrative burden and improve care delivery.
- Guide the roadmap for future enhancements, upgrades, and system integration efforts across the enterprise.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational discipline.
- Ensure all systems and processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Participate in the creation of governance frameworks and decision-making protocols for clinical systems and operational functions.
- Align system enhancements and process improvements with strategic growth goals, ensuring scalability across business lines.
- Represent the organization externally with partners, vendors, and collaborators in support of enterprise transformation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Operations Management, or related field; clinical background strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, systems implementation, and process optimization.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and complex, multi-site initiatives.
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, EMR functionality, and clinical workflow design.
- Exceptional communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Clinical experience preferred.
- Must be able to always adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries
