Executive Director

As an Executive Director (ED), you’ll play a pivotal role in leading an Aveanna branch and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families, caregivers, and employees. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who brings strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding care and service.
As the leader of your branch, you’ll work closely with clinical, operations, and business development teams to drive growth, strengthen relationships, support your team, and achieve exceptional patient care and financial outcomes.
Most importantly, you’ll be a trusted leader, mentor, and advocate for your team and the families we serve.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop Your Team
- Recruit, interview, and select highly qualified team members who share our commitment to exceptional service and care.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development to help employees reach their full potential.
- Ensure annual performance evaluations, goal setting, orientation, in-service training, and continuing education requirements are completed.
- Build a positive, collaborative branch culture where employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.
- Partner with supervisors and regional leadership to address opportunities and achieve branch goals.
Build Strong Patient & Community Relationships
- Serve as a visible and engaged leader for patients, families, caregivers, referral sources, and employees.
- Partner with branch and area leadership to create a welcoming and positive experience for new patients and families.
- Support patient home visits and referral-source assessments as needed.
- Monitor client satisfaction and take action to continuously improve the patient and family experience.
- Collaborate with Business Development to build strong community relationships and develop strategic growth opportunities.
Drive Business & Operational Success
- Develop and execute strategies that support sustainable branch growth.
- Analyze financial statements, activity reports, and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of required reports and operational processes.
- Monitor billing and collections to support strong financial performance and timely reimbursement.
- Ensure the branch consistently follows applicable federal and state home care regulations, policies, and standards.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- 2–3 years of management experience.
- Ability to meet all applicable state requirements, including background checks and required work authorization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Four-year college degree.
- Healthcare experience, particularly in pediatric home care, is a plus.

This role requires the ability to:
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Travel as needed.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and twist for extended periods as needed.
- Sit and climb stairs.
- Meet required visual, hearing, and sensory acuity standards.
- Work effectively in a variety of environments, including settings where exposure to allergens or other conditions may occur.
