Position Details

Position Overview

The Operations Director (hereafter referred to as “OD”) is responsible for managing and overseeing leadership and administrative functions of an Aveanna location. The OD collaborates with cross-functional teams including operations, clinical and business development ensuring annual business growth, patient care outcomes and financial objectives are met or exceeded.

Serving as the leader of their respective branch team, the OD offers a dynamic work environment where individuals can contribute their expertise in either clinical or non-clinical capacities.  The OD embodies Aveanna’s Core Values by building and strengthening relationships with patients, families, field staff, and referral sources while serving as an advocate and trusted mentor for their location team.  The OD possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and assures the adoption of all branch-level processes and training standards.  The OD ensures their location fully adheres to all Federal and State regulations governing home care agencies.

Compensation: $70-75k base salary, plus bonus potential (up to 20% of salary), cell phone reimbursement, mileage reimbursement and on call pay (if applicable).

Essential Job Functions
* Lead, develop, and support a high-performing team by recruiting qualified staff, ensuring timely performance evaluations, establishing and monitoring goals, promoting employee development, and maintaining consistent communication with supervisors and area/regional leadership.
* Build and strengthen relationships with patients, families, caregivers, referral partners, and business development teams by supporting effective introductions, periodic patient home visits, referral source assessments, satisfaction survey follow-up, and growth-oriented partnership objectives.
* Drive branch growth and operational performance by planning and implementing effective growth strategies.
Successfully address the referral pipeline with urgency, and monitors referral management, admissions and start-of-care timelines.
* Oversee caregiver staffing, productivity, reporting deadlines, and overall service delivery.
* Manage financial and business performance by interpreting financial statements, activity reports, and other performance data; monitoring revenue, billing, collections, productivity, and expense control.
* Identify opportunities for cost mitigation and process improvement.
* Identify operational barriers, implement solutions that improve efficiency and branch outcomes, and partner with area and regional leadership to align priorities with business goals and organizational initiatives.
* Ensure operational readiness and compliance by maintaining adherence to company policies, payor requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations;
* Partner with clinical and operational leaders to address quality concerns; implement corrective actions and support continuous improvement.
* Monitor branch performance indicators to identify trends, mitigate risk, improve patient, caregiver, and business outcomes, and promote a culture of accountability, compliance, service excellence, and operational readiness.


Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree required
* 2-3 years’ management experience.
* Satisfies all state requirements, including background checks and any applicable required work authorization.

Physical Requirements
* Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
* Must be able to travel as needed.
* Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 50 pounds.
* Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
* Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
* Must have visual and hearing acuity.
* Must have strong sense of smell and touch.

Environment
* Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
