Aveanna Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) leader to join our Stockbridge, GA team as a Clinical Director of Nursing.

Position Overview
The Clinical Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services for the assigned location. This position provides leadership and oversight for clinical operations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regional home healthcare regulations.
Working closely with the Area Clinical Director and other operational leaders, the Clinical Director supports program development, patient care, staffing, clinical quality, and continued location growth.
The nursing team reports through the Clinical Director, who provides leadership related to hiring, training, performance management, clinical education, and overall nursing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day clinical operations.
Assign patients for ongoing management to Nursing Coordinators, RN Supervisors, and/or Clinical Managers.
Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, physicians, caregivers, and internal teams.
Evaluate new referrals for admission and make recommendations regarding nursing care.
Monitor the clinical status of patients and ensure appropriate coordination of care.
Ensure patient care meets Aveanna's standards for quality and appropriateness.
Monitor patient staffing patterns and clinical coverage.
Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate clinical staff.
Support the development and implementation of the IOP Plan.
Ensure clinical leadership and nursing teams remain informed of updated policies and procedures.
Assist with nurse hiring, orientation, education, and development as needed.
Maintain knowledge of third-party payer requirements and regulations.
Partner with operational leadership to support location growth and marketing efforts.
Maintain awareness of monthly budgets and operational performance.
Promote effective communication between clinical and operational departments.
Provide direct patient care when appropriate and needed.
Participate in administrative and clinical on-call responsibilities as needed.
Conduct supervisory visits to assess patients, families, home environments, and clinical caregivers, completing required follow-up documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience
Minimum of one year of management experience
Clinical experience as required by applicable state and/or federal regulations
Current CPR certification
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Master's degree
One to two years of pediatric and/or neonatal nursing experience
One or more years of home care experience
CPR Instructor certification

Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
Ability to travel as required; company transportation is not provided
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, sit, and climb stairs
Ability to safely reposition patients and move equipment when necessary
Visual and hearing acuity sufficient to perform job responsibilities
Ability to respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport
Ability to respond appropriately to the spontaneous movement of children and patients with neurological impairments
Work Environment
This position performs duties in an office environment during normal agency operating hours and may also require work in patient homes and other community settings. The role may involve exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and other conditions commonly associated with healthcare environments.
